Disney on Ice...

 A few weeks ago Emiley and her sweet daddy went to Disney on Ice!  This was one of her Christmas surprises and the time had finally arrived!  She wanted to get up early so I could roll her hair.  Will got her out of school around noon and they were off! 

 They stopped at P.F. Chang's for a yummy dinner and this is the picture I was sent!  I didnt get any pictures of the actual Disney on Ice because of the lighting but they assured me it was AMAZING! 

Lainey and I spent our evening having a little sushi date... Abbey was at a MAVS game! 
Busy, FUN times! 

Wordless Wednesday...

Sometimes Mommies get a night out and they do "crazy" stuff like take FUN pictures with their photographer friend...

And sometimes they turn out OK for their blogs and business websites.  That's what Ladies' Nights are all about!

Goin' Fishing...

 This past Saturday we had a free afternoon.  We had planned on taking the girls to the Art Festival in Fort Worth but they didnt want to be in the car for hours so we decided to go fishing.  They were BEYOND excited.  Lainey and Emiley loaded up the poles. 

We then stopped for some worms and stink bait.  Our day at city lake was uneventful because we didnt catch a single fish but we spent two hours together as a family of five!  It was a GOOD DAY! 

Let's Cheer!...

 Abbey made cheerleader again for her 8th grade year!  I am super proud of her and a little happy that she LOVES cheerleading just like I did back in the day! 

 All of her BFF's sent her "Good Luck" goodies on  try-out day!  She really felt the LOVE!  SO SWEET! 

 It was a GREAT day because all the returning girls made it again!  They will have so much fun again together! 

I'm so proud of my HJH cheerleader... Now if football season would just hurry and get here! 

Let's Do This...

 Today is another Big Day for Abbey Grace!  It's cheer try-outs for her 8th grade year in Jr. High.  She did great this morning during the student body try-outs and has the judges try-outs this afternoon. 

I'm so proud of her and can't wait for today to be OVER!  The waiting is too much for ALL.OF.US!  We all went and cheered her on this morning even daddy was off work and little sisters got to get out of school for an hour! 

What fun memories.  (Hard to believe Lainey Beth will be joining her in Jr. High next year.)

Heartbreaking...

 The tragic bombings in Boston yesterday are just heartbreaking.  My thoughts go back to our time there just last year. 

 As I see the news coverage of the bomb sight and the race coverage... I see where I stood to watch Will cross the finish line.  I stood just to the left of the grandstands. 

 The 26 mile marker was my view for 8 hours that day... Since 6:30 that morning.  Just one year ago.  Those excited runners and family members were so innocent who stood and ran right were we were last year.  My heart hurts for them. 

 Pray for all those effected yesteday.  Pray for our country.  God is still good... He hears our prayers. 

These 3 Called Sisters...

 These 3 called SISTERS around our house may or may not have known it was sibling day yesterday.  They are growing so FAST! 

These 3 called sisters may or may not get along somedays and fight like mad cats others... I guess that what siblings are suppose to do! 

These 3 called sisters get a little crazy and love being country girls!  They do have a good time together and I'm sure that when they are grown wouldn't change growing up as sisters. 

(Yes, that's Abbey jumping off the trailor and her sisters watching and waiting for their turn!)

District Champs...

 These girls did it!  They went out and worked hard and won EVERY track meet this year, even the most important one, the DISTRICT meet! 

 Abbey had a great day and placed 3rd in the triple jump and 3rd in the long jump! 

 She came in 2nd in the hurdles!

 Her sprint relay team (Lee, Denman, Hale, Harbin) came in 1st!  (Look at leg muscle!)

And her 800 relay team came in 1st!!  (Lee, Mehaffey, Harbin, Hale)

They are a great group of girls and know how to work hard!  So excited to watch them grow and improved more and more each year!  WAY TO GO ABBEY and HJH Lady Bulldogs.... 

Easter Sunday...

 Easter was spent just the 5 of us this year.  Any year that "Tax season" isnt over before Easter we are stuck at home!  This year the Easter Bunny left a trail of goodies in the hallway to the girls' rooms. 

 The girls also got some new marker boards and STUFF!  They then hunted the eggs the bunny left around the house!  Such a fun tradition we have together! 

Then it was time to get all dressed up for church to go celebrate the real reason for the day!  CHRIST HAS RISEN! 

 The girls each picked out their own dress this year.  NO MORE MATCHING! 

 They are all growing up WAY to FAST!!!
