Before we could even get to school on Friday, I had to play mommy and make goodies for the class parties. Of course all three girls wanted different goodies to take. Abbey wanted peanutbutter cookies with kisses on top!

Happy Halloween!...
Happy Halloween! We have been busy have lots of fall fun the last few days. We had Character Dress-up day at school on Friday. The girls were so excited and I was super busy! Abbey and one of her good buddies decided to be 80's Chics. Abbey is researching 80's fashion for her G/T State project this year so she had a book on it. They looked pretty CUTE! We splatter painted they over size shirts, they had beads, a leg warmer, bright colors, crimped hair, and Converse!
My First Grade teachers and I were Penguins from the "Tacky the Penguin" books. We were Goodly, Lovely, Angel and Neatly! We thought we were pretty cute! We read the kids Tacky books all week and had a great time playin the part of Penguins. We do a HUGE Penguin unit in the winter with our math so these were the PERFECT costumes for us.

Emiley wanted FANCY cupcakes! So we settled on cupcakes with gummy worms!
Lainey wanted iced sugar cookies with candy corns. So after soccer practices on Thursday night, we spent the rest of our evening baking and curling and crimping hair for Friday!
But Friday was a success because everyone looked adorable! We had a super cute Wendy, an adorable little clown and a super hip 80's chic!

Ten for this Wacky Wednesday...
Here is a list of 10 for this WACKY WEDNESDAY!
1. I have been down and out today with tummy issues. So not fun, but obviously I needed the rest because I slept until 1:00!
2. Today was picture day at school so I had to get up with the girls this morning and fix their hair. I could not let daddy "Just Do It!"
3. I Sonic Dr. Pepper helped just a little this afternoon.
4. Abbey Grace made the UIL listening team and I couldnt be prouder. I wonder does this mean she is a good listener because just the other day I was thinking all her listening skills were flying out the window with her pre-teen years. Maybe she is just using them up at school!
5. Lainey girl is going to be Wendy for Halloween. Emiley has chosen to be a clown and Abbey is going to be an 80's chic. They are ready for Fridayto dress up for school!!!
6. Lainey told me today that I was shrinking! I LIKE IT!!!
7. While home today I was able to watch the "Nate Berkus Show." I really liked it! But I like all things home decorating :)
8. Next week is NOVEMBER! How exciting. That means my birthday, the San Antonio 1/2 marathon, Thanksgiving...
9. Last weekend we went jean shopping... The whole family! We bought seven pairs of pants for the girls in one hour. I think thats a record!
10. This weekend is the last weekend of soccer games. I MUST take my camera and get GOOD pictures of ALL the girls playing!
Thats all you get. I think I am going to go crawl back in my bed!

Pretty Pretty Pomegranate
We have a few pretty pomegranates on our pomegranate tree! We love this time of year when they are ripe and ready to pick!
Lainey was all dressed up and ready to explore yesterday. After church she got her cap, her ACU backpack, her butterfly net, her flashlight, and all sort of goodies ready for a hunt and a fun-filled Sunday afternoon outside. While she was out, that is when she found that the pomegranates were READY to be picked and eaten. Lainey girl was so excited with her finds!

Friday Favorites...
This week my Friday Favorites are all about my run/walking... Recently I had to get a new Ironman watch. Will got me my first "timing" watch years ago and it died a month or so ago so I needed a new one. Will said I might could have just replaced the battery, but I had been eyeing this super cute WHITE one because WHITE watches are all the craze right now. I really LOVE it and it helps me stay right on track with my super slow miles... :)
I also recently got some new Mizuno running shoes and I am really liking them. I needed some new ones! I had not gotten new shoes since my last two half marathons and they were SHOT. Will has been running in Mizuno's so I thought I would give them a try. They are very light and so far so good...
There you have it! I better it the trails for some run/walking. Cousin Vanessa and I missed the registration for the Abilene Half Marathon. The flyer said you could register up to the day of the race so we were in NO HURRY. I got online to register on the 12th and it said registration ended the 10th. We are a bit bummed but we will are just going to run in San Antonio with Will's cousins and maybe again in December. Oh well, that just means we wont miss the girls last soccer games!!!

Funny Bones...
Abbey Grace is studying the names of her bones in 5th grade Science right now.
Last night as we were reviewing. Abbey informed me that the boniest part of her body is her bony backside. SHE IS RIGHT!
Emiley says that her boniest part of her body is her hip but only when she is hanging upside down on the monkey bars... Yes, my dear, you are RIGHT... You are build like your momma!
Lainey girl chimes in and says, I have bony FEET! Ok, whatever you think!
We all died laughing and decided that once again Lainey had hit our FUNNY BONES!
I LOVE MY GIRLS!

Catching You Up on US!...
Yep, its been CRAZY... and Yep, I know I say that every other day, but it is TRUE! That is the life of a CPA, first grade teacher, second grader, third grader, and fifth grader all living under one roof. Who all also are trying to stay in shape by having the girls all play soccer in three different leagues which means three different soccer practices and three different games every week, a hubby who is or was training for an Ironman and a mommy who is training for a half marathon. We are also active in church and have somewhat of a social life... I guess!
Ok... I would like to catch you up on the randomness of US! This is Lainey's solar system project. She completed it at school and made a 110! She is now in LOVE with space and EE and Papa Jim helped out with her love by introducing her to Sky Walk on the IPad! So FUN!
Miss Emiley has become a real soccer player and we are so proud of her! Actually all three girls are REAL PLAYERS and we couldnt be prouder but this is Miss Em's first year to play. Here is Miss Em with her Bulldog Buddy also named Emily. She came to watch her play a game and it made our little Emiley's day!
Abbey Grace had a sock puppet project due in 5th grade. They had to transform a snake sock into a Halloween character. Abbey turned hers into a witch. She is pretty cute!
Once again I will confess I didnt get many good pictures of the hubs in the Ironman. He completed 70.3 mile. That is 1.2 miles of swimming, 56 miles of biking, and 13.1 miles of running. Pure craziness-awesomeness! Here is another picture of my not-so-good weekend photography :) That is Mr. Will getting into his wetsuit-All Smiles!
While we were in Austin this weekend, Betsy and I ran and did some shopping. I tried on this silly penguin costume as a JOKE for my fellow first grade teachers. We do a huge penguin unit in first grade that teaches weight, length, temperature, about our globe, and about six different types of penguins and so much more! The kids LOVE it! So I texted my fellow teachers this picture of me in this silly picture. I was laughing so hard I could hardly breath! Well, they all wanted me to get the costumes so we could all be penguins for Character Dress-up day this year and for the years to come! Mrs. M even said we could be the penguins for the Tacky the Penguin books... Goodly, Neatly, Tacky and Perfect! AWESOME! The kids will love it!
There the have it! The craziness of our family... Happy Tuesday!

Longhorn Ironman 70.3...
We spent the weekend in Austin so that Will could compete in the Longhorn Ironman 70.3 Triathlon! It is truly an amazing event. Here are Will and Luke before the race began... All Smiles!!
The swim is set on Decker Lake and it is beautiful. We got up way before sunset and greeted the sun along with the other 2200 participant and their other thousands spectators.
The singing of the National Anthem is BEAUTIFUL with the flag over the lake!
Will and Luke getting all dressed in their wetsuits!
Ok... I admit, that is where my pictures of the event end. I was at the finish line but didnt get Will's picture. I do have a few more on my phone but that is IT! I was a bad wife and spectator this weekend. We had a great time and spent the weekend in our camper!
Here is our Capri Camper that Will bought and fixed up a month or so ago from Craig's List. It is lots of fun. It has two sleeping spots and a shower. It is perfect for us!

Welcome Art...
Every morning Lainey Girl draws some of her artwork on my board from my class. Her artwork is amazing and my class always LOVES her drawings and her morning greetings... Here are a couple of pictures I captured that she drew this week.
I usually dont know what to expect because I am scurrying around the school making copies or getting my hot tea. Then I return to my room with my class and find a masterpiece made by my Lainey Girl and I LOVE.EVERY.ONE.OF.THEM!

Tuesday Thoughts...
Wow, its already Tuesday afternoon! The girls were out of school yesterday, but I had inservice. Today seemed to FLY by. We are now home working around the house getting out daily chores done and getting ready for soccer practice, doing homework and the such...
Miss Lainey girl loves to have her down time in the afternoons in her room! Today I found her in her room just sitting in her bean bag reading her book. She is growing up so fast! She has decided to run for Student Council. What a big step for her! Lainey Beth is becoming aggressive, assertive and a bit more outgoing. Only time will tell what she will become...
Miss Em is busy working on her spelling homework. I always have to push Miss Em to get busy on her homework. She doesnt mind doing it once she gets started but she would much rather be on the trampoline than doing her homework! Miss Em is a funny girl and keeps us laughing as she complains and laughs all the way through her homework tasks EVERY.SINGLE.DAY!
Abbey Grace was helping me get supper on tonight. We are making our favorites pork chops. My Mi-Ma taught me to LOVE pork chops. We are making the healthy version. We are baking them in gluten free rice flour! They are super yummy! I LOVE that Abbey likes to help me cook. We are having salad and beans with them! Cant wait to get home from soccer so we can enjoy them...
