Whatever Girls...

A few months ago I came across this website. (www.thewhatevergirls.com)  I had been talking to friends about wanting to do a teenage girls Bible study.  My girls are reaching that "hard" time in life.  You know those junior high years, full of peer pressure, self doubt, questions about you who are, hard times with friends and relationships.  I was ready to do something with my girls and I had friends who wanted to do the same.

I am sure God led me to this website and the sweet leader of it, Erin.  After a few emails and phone calls from Erin I knew that I would jump in feet first and start a group for teen girls and their mothers in my town.  It has been a huge blessing to me and hopefully to the girls, too!  I have connected with Lynn Cowell (www.LynnCowell.com) of Proverbs 31 Ministries and she sent us her book "His Revolutionary Love" after our first "READ!"  We are READY TO ROLL!

God is SO GOOD!  We have had two great meetings.  We are now ready to read, study, discuss and pray with our daughters in our homes and then come together again next month.  I believe we setting a good foundation for open relationships with each other.  We know we love Jesus but we all cant wait to dig deeper and find a deeper LOVE, a life-changing LOVE.  It's so exciting.

If you want to start a group in your community with your daughter and others... DO IT!  Don't hesitate!  Contact me.  I will talk to you.  Contact Erin.  If you live near me, come see us!  We are so excited to share our excitement.

Phil 4:8 "Whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is lovely, whatever is  commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things."

Happy Monday!

So Glad To See You Friday...

YAY, It' Friday again!  Time for more Friday night Football in TX and maybe a bit of rest and relaxation after Saturday morning cross country.  Let get this "5 on Friday" party with Darci and Friends.

One:  I am still LOVING our new family photos.  This one I am not too fond of, but I cant show all the goods one. I MUST save some good ones for the annual Christmas card.  I did use some in a new blog header :)

TWO:  I ran across this picture taken not long after Emiley was born.  We were a bit 'ole HOT MESS!  So HOT I had to clip myself Right OUT!  Abbey was a new turned 3 year old, Lainey was 14 months and Miss Em was fresh out of the hospital.  We spent many days in PJ's surviving!  Good Times nursing, changing diapers and spending hours at HOME!
THREE:  I love the words on this stamped jewelry...I am also a sucker for personalized stamped jewelry...
FOUR:  I happened to have a very special friend who makes stamped jewelry and she hooked me up with THIS piece this week... LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!  (MamaDrama Jewelry on Etsy and Facebook)
FIVE.  And finally because this is how my girls spend their afternoons, flipping and flopping.  I had to include this fun shot of Emiley.  They make me SMILE.
Happy Weekend!

Guess What Day It Is?...

Yes, we have all seen the crazy, fun commercial with the camel!  We laugh and we LOVE it!
And now we all LOVE referring to Wednesday as Hump Day.  It just adds a little more fun to our middle of the week.
Well, one of my Bffs gave us shirts to make it all just a bit more fun on HUMP DAY. LOVE IT!

Happy Hump Day!

These Girls...

These Girls know how to work hard.  They get up at 5 o'clock every morning to train for cross country.  They are determined to work hard and be champions.  They did just that and won their first meet in a BIG way!
These Girls have a coach that truly believes in them and they listen to every word he says.  He makes them work hard and he makes them believe in themselves because he believes in them.
These Girls go up against over 100 girls in every race and finish before over 80 of them.  Last race we had 5 girls in the top 10.
 These Girls are simply amazing.
These Girls have the faces of determination.
These girls have mommas who cheer them on with their whole hearts.

These girls are going to do great things!

Happy Birthday, Emiley Morgan...

11 years ago I had my 3rd scheduled C-section is 3 years and 3 weeks.  The doctors told me that this sweet baby girl should be my last baby because 3 babies so close and 3 C-sections back-to-back was not safe on my body.

I had no idea that sweet baby would come out to be a happy 8 lbs., 13 oz bundle with red-hair and green eyes.  Her eyes quickly turned brown like her sisters  but her hair has kept that red tint like her great-grandmothers.

Emiley Morgan, you are so special.  You are smart, full of smiles, joy, honest, funny, fearless, independent, care-free and MINE!  I am beyond blesses to be your mommy!

Happy 11th birthday to my baby!
(Now let's figure out how to make time slow down!)

Celebrate Miss Em...

We celebrated Miss Em's birthday a few days early this weekend.  It is really hard for me to believe that she is turning 11 years old.  She is my BABY for goodness sake.  We spent Saturday making her a strawberry cake with green icing and a cooking cake and pulled pork for yummy sandwiches and then her best buddies and their families came over for a relaxed evening at our house!
Emiley insisted on lighting her own candles and then blew them all out with no problem!
Emiley also had a special wish for her birthday.  She wanted a blender.  Ours had broken a few months ago and she LOVES to make milkshakes and smoothies for the family.  So sweet girl gets what she wants.  I also LOVE her blender because its RED!
We had a great evening of visiting with her girlfriends and their families.  She had her 5 friends spend the night.  Her friends are all also from families of all girls!  Only one friend has a little brother but she also has 2 sisters.  Its pretty funny having them all over.
