Spring Break Spruce Up...

I've been doing a little "sprucing up" around the 'ole casa while the girls were gone on a camping trip with their EE and Papa Jim the last 5 days! The first thing on my list was to paint Emiley's bedroom!

AFTER: I painted her walls yellow and bought some new fun things at Hobby Lobby! While the girls were gone I wanted to get rid of some of the CLUTTER! They are collectors and I admit they get it from me and their EE! :) Smile MOM! I LOVE the way her paint turned out. Emiley is like Abbey and doesnt want anything pink so she LOVES her bedding and now I LOVE her room a little more.

Here is Lainey's room BEFORE: AFTER: Her room was the was worse when it came to clutter. OH MY it made me crazy. She had little piles everywhere that needed work. Again, I bought some new fun things for her room and took down things like the posters that I didnt like.

I LOVE Hobby Lobby because their stuff is always 50% off. There was lots of cute stuff to put with Lainey's room! I did leave some things alone like the ribbon on her dresser drawers and the shoes... I picked my battles!

I also made Lainey this cute little art nook in her room. I have been wanting to do it but Lainey does not like change and wont let me move anything so I have waited for her to leave so I could do it all and surprise her! She LOVED it by the way!! Those are a few of Lainey's winning art pieces above her new art "studio!"

AFTER: Abbey's room... I rearranged her room and added her name over her bed. I took down her posters in her room. Abbey didnt even care. I also added some baskets on her dresser to keep her "stuff" in! {Ignore the bucket and shelf at the end of her bed...Oops!}

I have had a fun week all to myself. The girls are home now and Lainey has the FLU! Yep, she has 104 temp and is not feeling good!

Family Time...

This past weekend we had LOTS of family in-town and we LOVED it! We were so thankful that H-town was the location of the "meet-up" spot for so many things! We had Aunt Sue and Mi-Ma in town for Ben and Robin's Shower and that brought Aunt Vi and Uncle Gary to town, too. Poppy and Dee came to town for the shower as well but also to see the girls and watch Abbey play some ball. EE and PaPa Jim came to pick up the grandkids for their little Spring Break Get-Away! I am so thankful for MY Mi-Ma! My girls and My brother's kids love their great-grandmother, too! She is the reason for ALL of our BIG BROWN EYES!

EE and PaPa Jim made the trip with their camper all loaded up for their Spring Break camp out! The kids were all so excited! They had so much fun stuff planned for the kids. They were all so excited! {I was pretty excited too to have a few days all to my self.} Poor Abbey missed out on all the pictures because she was playing in a basketball tourney in San Saba!

Dee Dee and Poppy came for the shower but while we were at the shower Poppy and Uncle Gary drove over to watch Abbey play some basketball! Yep, it was a busy day! These girls and Garrett sure are blessed with lots of people who LOVE them to pieces!

COUSINS!!! They sure are cute and sure to FAVOR! Dont ya think!

Speaking of cousins... My cousin Ben and his sweet wife Robin are having a baby girl, Reilly Jo pretty soon. Robin's mom made this cute cake for her baby shower that I helped host over the weekend.

She also made this diaper cake complete with running shoes for Miss Reilly. I am sure her coaching parents LOVED them!

Aunt Vi was not impressed with the "baby food in the diaper" game! It was a bit gross.

Mi-Ma took a big sniff...

And so did Aunt Sue! It was a great shower and so wonderful to see so much of my family.

Emiley's Big Week...

Emiley had a BIG week in 2nd grade last week. Last week was the end of their China unit so I got to catch all the 2nd graders in their dragon dance down the hall! So cute! Miss Em was carrying her China lantern. Emiley was Horton the Elephant in her music class play "Horton Hears a Who!" It was a cute little class play and she did a WONDERFUL job! She was being so silly and would not let me get a good picture.

Will and I both got to go watch her little play and she did so good singing a little solo. So precious. Miss Em is growing up way to fast!

The girls have gone camping for spring break and I have surprise for Miss Em! I painted her bedroom YELLOW. She asked for her bedroom to be painted at Christmas because her sisters have their rooms painted FUN colors... Well, she will be so excited when she gets home on Wednesday!

Good Times Saturday Night...

Saturday night we took a little drive over to a concert for one of the girls' favorite singers... Ryan Turner. They love his song "She's No Amy." It was a GREAT night with sisters!

The girls did lots of watching the dance floor and lots of watching the band! They had so much fun. I have some country girls on my hands :)

Taylor got a little tired and took a quick nap! I am not sure how she slept. It was pretty loud.

Daddy got lots of dancing in with his little girls. Emiley LOVES her daddy!

Abbey is really becoming a GOOD two-stepper!

I even got a turn with Daddy!

It was a WONDERFUL night!

Friday Favorites...

Today was the Annual "First Grade Rodeo!" So of course I had to put on my FRIDAY FAVORITES boots and cowgirl hat! It was so FUN!!! The kids love dressing up and so do I! We had some stick horse races, a little cowboy roping and a cowboy chili lunch! It was a great day but this cowgirl is pooped...

March, REALLY?...

Really, Really... I CANNOT believe that it is MARCH! Time is going way to FAST for my likely, but then again it is going FAST and I am liking it!

One more week until Spring Break and I could not be happier. I need a rest and I think the girls could use a little rest. Too bad there is no rest in sight for Poor Daddy.

This week has drained me! We have started our BIG TEXAS unit in 1st grade {You know it was Texas Independence Day yesterday, Right?} and we are finishing up our H.U.G.E. penguin unit, all to get ready for OPEN HOUSE next week! Good Times!!!

Abbey is still having basketball practice and will participate in another tournament next week. Yep, the first game is the night of Open House so I will have to miss the game :( Softball sign ups ended today so I guess we will end basketball and head right into softball! Lainey and Emiley aren't playing softball so we will all head to Abbey's games and cheer her on!

I have a list about three miles long of things I need to get this weekend. Trip to the big city is in store since!

I sent a facebook message to my sweet cousin that went like this "Dear sweet, crazy talented cousin, Want to come help me decorate my house over Spring Break! Thanks, Love ya!" Yep, I am ready for changes around here. I need a new eye!!! I admit I really have the wants around the house and hope a few new suggestions in the decorating/rearranging will help!
