Easter Twenty-Twelve...

We celebrated another Easter with our three little beauties and another special holiday where I realized they are growing up way too fast...

Abbey Grace found a dress that she liked and we bought 2 of them! One in these pretty blue and one in green. Hard to believe she will turn 13 this summer. Abbey has also decided she needed a purse, so we searched the world {malls} over and found this one she also loved. She carries her phone, tylenol and carmex! She is such a doll.
My Lainey girl found this sweet Easter outfit and KNEW she had to have it! Oh, this girl loves fashion. I sort of fell in love with it, too!
Miss Em, Oh the cuteness!!! She wanted a peach dress to make her hair look a bit red! She found this one and it was comfy, too. She is all about comfort. Dont really want her to turn double-digits. Where did my babies go??
Easter is a wonderful holiday to celebrate our risen Lord!! How wonderful to celebrate the eternal life we will have with our Lord because of the sacrifice he made for us. Even though the girls are growing up they still love hunting eggs left for them Saturday night... They wake up ready to go. {Can you tell Abbey is NOT a morning person!}
They race around the house looking for eggs. Then Will made his usually Sunday morning breakfast of pancakes.
After church we finally had time to color some eggs... Miss Em helped me mix all the colors and boil the eggs.
But they all got into the action of coloring the eggs.
They used their American Girl catalog to get some ideas of different techniques to use. They used stickers, rubber bands and sponges to make each egg a little different.
I hope you and your were all able to celebrate our risen Saviour and take some time to REST over this recent holiday. We are so blessed. Happy Easter!

3 in 3 and 3...

Oh the beauty of Daughters! Today I am linking up with Kelly and talking about being a mother of only daughters...

I honestly thought I would have a boy or two when I pictured have children but these three precious girls is what God gave me. Not only did he give me 3 daughters, he blessed me with them VERY close in age. These little beauties were born within 3 years and 3 weeks of each other. Abbey Grace was born in August of '99, Lainey Elizabeth was born in July of '01 and Emiley Morgan came in September of '02. These 3 keep us crazy busy but we LOVE it.

As the girls are growing up life is changing. My life has gone from worrying about schedules of bedtimes, potty training, feedings, and learning the ABC's to scheduling everyones practices, homework, being able to at least have a few family meals together a week, and getting a shower before bedtime!

I now worry more about guarding their little minds and spirits, praying that they make good decisions, praying that I make good decisions for them. I pray that the things their daddy and I are saying about dating, make-up and the answers we are giving about their questions are the right ones. They are growing up so quickly. These little girls are ours to mold for God. He gave them to US. What a blessing.

Little girls are such a gift. I am so glad I have three of them...
They are each different in their very special way. Abbey Grace the blonde, athlete, protector. Lainey Beth the brown headed, tender hearted, fashion star and Emiley the red headed, spunky baby that keeps everyone laughing... ALL made in God's imagine for a purpose on this earth!

Church Picnic...

We have a very special little church filled with very special people. Last Sunday we had our church picnic and Easter egg hunt. I know the girls are growing up, but they still participated and I LOVE that they still wanted to. The girls {of course} helped the smaller kids find eggs and also got a few treats for themselves. Miss Em found different uses for her slinky. And Lainey Girl didnt really want me taking her picture while she was digging into her bunny.
Even my big girl, Abbey Grace had a blast! {I love that this is her Easter basket from her very first Easter in 2000} Yes, she is growing up. She has her purse, cell phone and basket and she's wearing an adorable dress. MELT.MY.HEART!
My girls with one of the sweet little girls, Presley! What a doll : )
What a special day to spend with a church family, Celebrating our RISEN Lord!
Happy Hump Day!

Finishing up March...

Well, I am finally taking the time to finish up the March Photo Challenge.

{Day 27- Name} It's not really my name, but this "H" is for our last name and I LOVE it hanging on our front door!
{Day 28- Trash} Oh, I wish there was a way to hide it :(
{Day 29- Feet} My oh, My! I have lost a toenail on my big toe from running. Its so ugly and I dont even care. Its coming back in slowly. I hope it makes its appearance before summer is here!
{Day 30- Toy} Abbey's bed is such sweet memories. She has her build-a-bear she did with Poppy and EE, her pony she use to sleep with, her teddy from a BFF, a little pillow she made a VBS years ago and little things she loves. She's growing up so fast...
{Day 31- Where you relax} Oh my couch... where I enjoy my evening shows!

Flashback Friday...

Two weeks from today Abbey Grace will be trying out for 7th grade cheerleader. Her I am as a 7th grade cheerleader at BJH! Oh the good 'old days. Wow, that's a blast from the past! Big hair and tall cheer socks and cheering the Lions on to a VICTORY. Abbey has been perfecting her jumps and gaining confidence in her flip flops. Seems like yesterday I was doing the same thing...

She Will Always Be...

{Well, I cant leave Abbey Grace out, so I must do a little post on her.}
My Abbey Grace will always be my first born, the baby that made me a Momma and Will a daddy! The first year of Abbey's life Will and I were both in graduate school. She listened to us read accounting and education graduate work to her. She was lugged everywhere around ACU campus and smiled all along the way.

*Abbey will always be the big sister to Lainey and Emiley. She loves protecting them and pestering them all at the same time.
*Abbey, you are super smart and work so hard in school. I hope it always comes easy for you but that when it doesnt you face challenges head on.
*Abbey, you are changing and growing. I am so proud of how you are handling it all.
*I love your blonde hair (from daddy) and brown eyes (from me).
*Abbey Grace, Your daddy and I are your #1 fans,
*Abbey, you are learning that some days are awesome and some days are tough. That is life!
*I am so proud of your spiritual walk. When I see you searching the scripture it makes my heart smile.
*I cant believe you are 5'2''. How tall will you be?
*Your love for sweet tea, Soffe shorts, T-shirts, chocolate, strawberries, and ACU is so cute.
*You make me so happy to be your momma and Lainey and Emiley LOVE you to pieces!

Daddy's Girl...

When I was pregnant with Abbey Grace we didnt find out if she was a girl or a boy. We were surprised. Will was convinced that she was going to be a boy! In fact, I think we were both surprised she was a girl. Will is a great "girl" daddy. All three of our daughters LOVE him, but our third little girl is a bit smitten with her daddy...

Since I did a little comparison between Lainey and I yesterday, lets look at Emiley Morgan and her Daddy Love:
*Emiley and her daddy LOVE everyone!
*Emiley and her daddy have a beautiful red tint to their hair and she LOVES to tell you about it!
*Emiley and her daddy would rather be wondering around in the pasture.
*Emiley and her daddy often giggle to themselves {in their little world}.
*Emiley and her daddy are super smart but dont have to show it off.
*Emiley and her daddy love the simple things in life.
*Emiley and her daddy have beautiful smiles!
*Emiley and her daddy love to take the trash to the office on Saturdays. {Well, Will may not love it, but Emiley loves to hop in her daddy's truck and go anywhere he is going.}
*Emiley and her daddy have thick hair and long eyelashes.
*Emiley and her daddy love cowboy boots.

Oh the love...
